Meet Holly

Holly Kobia's impressive career spans journalism, philanthropy, and executive coaching. After starting as a trusted television news anchor and reporter in Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Roanoke, VA, Holly transitioned to an advancement and fundraising career in 2012 with Virginia Tech, where she played a pivotal role in raising over $100 million. Her leadership in philanthropy was marked by innovative approaches and successful team empowerment. With Kobia Consulting, Holly brings her media, communication, and fundraising expertise together for clients, offering executive coaching and other services such as specialized workshops, fundraising strategy, and keynote speaking. Based in Blacksburg, Virginia, Holly’s work continues to empower organizations, emphasizing the transformational power of storytelling, communication, and leadership.
